Capricorn
The ‘New World' division of Boutinot, Capricorn Wines represents producers from South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Argentina and the U.S.A.. The Capricorn portfolio consists of a range of the very best estates from each area and aims to reflect the huge diversity and truly exciting quality that such areas are capable of producing.

The pace of change in the ‘New World' can be truly startling. The oldest estate in the Capricorn portfolio was founded in 1969, most have been around for less than ten years but many have already established a global reputation for excellence. Whilst working in varying conditions around the world they all share one common characteristic – the desire to make great wine. They are immensely proud of their achievements but equally sure that the best has yet to come. Above all else the people we work with at Capricorn enjoy what they do and love to share that enjoyment with others.

Capricorn is also involved with winemaking projects in South Africa, Australia, Chile, Argentina and the U.S.A. which aim to produce outstanding wines for the market at more affordable prices. 2004 marked an exciting new departure for Capricorn with the purchase by Paul Boutinot of the 122 hectare Waterkloof Estate, one of the finest sites in Stellenbosch.
